Benjamin Connelly is currently studying as a Vocal Performance major at Furman University. He is a member of Dr. Grant Knox’s vocal studio at Furman. Before college, he studied vocal performance at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities under the tutelage of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Candace Dickinson. While at the Governor’s School, he had the opportunity to perform in numerous solo and choir settings, including a performance in the Vatican with the school choir. 


During his first year at Furman University, Mr. Connelly performed with the Furman Singers, Furman Oratorio Choir, and Furman Lyric Opera. He was featured as a soloist with the Furman Oratorio Choir in their spring performance of Fauré’s Requiem with full live orchestra. He also had the opportunity to perform parts of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with the S.C. Bach Society, directed by Dr. David Rhyne.
