Kay Thorn is a Charleston area native who has been working in the area as a musician and actor for over 15 years. Their experience as a singer is heavily rooted in choral work. Favorite choral experiences include the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Gospel Choir (Dir. Nate Nelson), Charleston Symphony Orchestra Spiritual Ensemble (Dir. David Richardson), Distinguished Concerts International (Dir. Eric Whitacre), and New York Choral Society (Dir. David Hayes). They have an expansive resume in musical theatre, which is their primary professional focus. Favorite theatrical credits include Head over Heels (Pythio/MD), Disaster! The Musical (MD); Next to Normal (MD), and RENT (Tom Collins). Professionally, Kay works as a teaching artist for Musical Theatre Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC and runs their own private voice and piano studio.
