OLIVIA SEMA

A native of Weatherly, PA, Olivia is a graduate of Lebanon Valley College (LVC), where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in music education. While at LVC, Olivia excelled in her vocal and instrumental studies. Upon graduating, she moved to South Carolina and began her teaching career.

Olivia started her career at Berkeley Center for the Arts, a magnet arts school, within Goose Creek High School where she was the Director of Orchestras. In addition to directing the orchestra, Olivia also taught elective music classes such as Piano, Music Appreciation, Music Technology, Music Theory, and Music History. After her first year of teaching, she discovered a passion for teaching beginner students to grow a love for music and became the General Music Teacher at Henry E. Bonner Elementary School where she currently teaches Headstart through 5th grade general music as well as elementary chorus and elementary band to 4th and 5th grade students.

In addition to KCP, Olivia can regularly be heard at The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist where she is a staff singer. As a vocalist, she has sung with academic and professional vocal ensembles on the east coast. Two to note are the Bach and Handel Chorale, Jim Thorpe, PA and Trance Vocal Ensemble, Cincinnati, OH. In her spare time, Olivia enjoys spending time with her husband, Carter and their two Australian Shepherds, Piper & Tilly.
