JACOB BOUCHIE
Tenor
Jacob Slade Bouchie is a recent graduate of Berkeley Center for the Arts at Goose Creek High School. While at Berkeley Center for the Arts, Jacob was an honors student and BCA Theatre completer. Jacob's choral experience includes acceptance to the South Carolina All-State Chorus (2023), the Wingate All-Carolina Chorus (2022), the Chamber Choir of the National Organization of Kodály Educators (2023), and the Berkeley All-County Chorus (2022, 2023). A member of the illustrious Goose Creek High School Chamber Choir, Jacob served two years as Tenor Section Leader, and his accolades included Rookie of the Year (2022) and Outstanding Tenor/Bass Voice (2022, 2023). He was also a founding member of Berkeley County School District's inaugural contemporary a cappella group, Creekappella.
Jacob's music theatre experience includes Charlie Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (2021), Prince Topher in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (2021), and the Tin Man/Hickory in The Wizard of Oz (2022). Other production experience includes Mercutio/Stage Combat Choreographer in Romeo & Juliet (2023), Sound Technician for These Shining Lives (2022) & Different (2021), Lendall/Phil in Almost, Maine (2020), and Dr. Galen P. Gray in Anatomy of Gray (2023). Jacob is a staff tenor at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church. In fall 2023, he will attend Furman University, where he is a Bell Tower Scholar and recipient of the prestigious Herring Music Fellowship. Jacob plans to study Choral Music Education.
