ABRIANA PEMBERTON

Alto

Abriana Pemberton is an alto that has gained most of her choral experience during her time in Cobra Chorale at Cane Bay High School, which won an AAAA SC State Championship during her senior year of high school in 2016. After graduating from Cane Bay HS, she received a scholarship for a traveling ensemble called Joyful Sound at North Greenville University, on which she served for a year. Upon transferring to Southern Wesleyan University after her freshman year, music took the backseat as she focused on her educational career in psychology. She graduated from SWU in 2020 with a B.S. in Psychology and, two years later, went on to get a Master’s in Educational Psychology and Research.

Abriana now has her dream job as a Professor of Psychology, and hopes to contribute to the repertoire of research that will make the educational system more intellectually and socially beneficial for students and teachers. Though she has been out of the musical performance world for nearly 10 years, she has served as a piano and drum player on her church’s worship team. Eager to resume choral performance, Abriana joins The King’s Counterpoint, continuing as an alto. Choral music has always enamored and inspired her, and she counts it as a blessing to be able to sing with such a talented group of people.
