♫♫ 2025 BRITTANY TOUR! â™«â™«
(Rescheduled from 2024!)

The King’s Counterpoint is excited to announce that in July, 2025, we will be embarking on a trip to France, where we will perform a series of concerts at churches and cathedrals throughout the region.

But we need YOUR help to make it happen!

As a small regional non-profit, donor support is vital to KCP’s success. Our Directors and Board take no payment for their time and efforts, and instead choose to focus the organization’s resources on opportunities for musical and cultural enrichment for our vocalists such as Brittany, 2024.

If you’d like to make a tax-deductible donation or to sponsor

a vocalist’s cost or any portion of this wonderful opportunity,

just visit our SUPPORT page or scan the QC code provided

to donate  today!

The choir’s ‘home base’ for the trip will be the city of Quimper, located

at the crossroads of the Steir and the Odet  rivers, and home of the

incredible Saint-Corentin cathedral (which took three centuries to build!).

From there, the choir will venture out to hold concerts in churches

around the region:

Pont-l'Abbé - Nestled at the bottom of the estuary, it has been labeled

“The Little Town of Character” and has been described as “the most

Breton town” of Lower Brittany. The castle, inhabited bridge that gave

the town its name, and the merchants’ residences evoke its proud history.

Locronan - The Celts chose this site to create a nemeton, a sacred

pathway  with stations symbolizing the 12 months of the year.  In the

6th century, St. Ronan Christianized the site and the town was born,

increasing in wealth and beauty from the 14th century thanks to weaving

sailcloth.

La Forêt-Fouesnant – This beautiful seaside town was first mentioned

in writing in the 11th century, and grew in importance during the

Middle Ages, becoming a popular trading post for the region. The Kerleven

cairn testifies to an occupation of the territory from the Neolithic period.
