Ascension Day Evensong with Old St. Andrew's Parish Church

Members of King's Counterpoint join the Choir & Clergy of Old St. Andrew's Parish Church to celebrate Ascension Day with a service of Choral Evensong! The King's Counterpoint is blessed to be Ensemble in Residence at OSA, and members of the ensemble regularly join the Parish Choir in weekly and special services - we're excited to be a part of this beautiful service, held at such an incredibly historic church. We hope to see you there! (Nursery provided for children 4 and under!)

A predominantly sung service that's held daily in the English Anglican tradition, Evensong is believed to be descended from the traditions and practices of the medieval monastic offices of the Roman church and marks the passing of another day in faith. Only about 45 minutes long and featuring choral music, readings and prayers, Evensong has inspired compositions from some of the finest composers of choral music in history.

This is a freewill offering event - donations will be gratefully accepted to benefit King's Counterpoint and the Old St. Andrew's Music Fund.
