MARGARET QUARDOKUS
Soprano
Born and raised in Charleston, Margaret has always balanced a love of music with a strong commitment to caring for others. By day, she works as a pediatric critical care nurse and is currently a student registered nurse anesthetist at the Medical University of South Carolina; by night (and whenever possible), she finds her joy in choral singing.
Growing up in a deeply musical household, Margaret’s choral roots are in all-female secular ensembles, where she developed a strong sense of musicianship and collaborative music-making. She later expanded into sacred repertoire as a member of the St. Gregory Cathedral Choir at Grace Church Cathedral, discovering a deep appreciation for liturgical music and the unique energy of singing within historic spaces.
Margaret has performed with the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) America National Choir on tour throughout various English cathedrals and has sung in notable American venues, including Washington National Cathedral and Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue. Additional highlights include performing with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Chorus and, recently, as a backup singer for Sarah Brightman’s Winter Symphony tour.
She is excited to continue her musical journey and is grateful for the opportunity to share music and community with this ensemble.
